1. What inspired you to start modeling, and how has your journey been so far?
My modeling dream began in my teenage years when I watched glamorous models on Fashion TV. I used to practice ramp walks alone at home, imagining myself on a real runway. However, life took over with education, a job, marriage, and family. Modeling remained a dream until recently, when my husband’s love for photography reignited that spark. His encouragement led to opportunities, and now, I’m proud to say I’m living my teenage dream. My journey has been fulfilling and emotional, especially being a guest model at a fashion show in Hyatt, Pune.
2. You’re comfortable with both Indian and Western outfits—do you have a favorite style to work with?
I’m equally comfortable in Indian and Western outfits and feel fortunate to have a body type that complements both. While I’ve explored many styles, I’m particularly drawn to traditional lehengas with unique patterns or fusion designs like lehengas paired with crop tops. I’m always excited about experimenting with out-of-the-box styles.
3. How do you prepare yourself physically and mentally for a photoshoot?
Mentally, I’m always prepared because I value every opportunity, having waited so long for this career. Physically, I stay fit through regular gym workouts and yoga, focusing on a healthy diet. For the shoot, I rely on my makeup team to enhance my look while ensuring I bring my energy and enthusiasm to the set.
4. What’s been the most memorable or challenging experience in your modeling career?
The most memorable moment was walking the ramp as a guest model while my daughter watched with pride. It was emotional and surreal to see her smile and feel her pride. As for challenges, I’ve encountered unprofessional behavior in the industry. Thankfully, I’ve managed to avoid major issues and focus on my growth.
5. How do you balance your modeling career with your personal life as a married woman?
Balancing both is manageable because of my supportive family. My husband is my biggest cheerleader, taking care of things at home when I’m away. My daughter is independent and encourages me to follow my dreams. Their love and support make this journey possible.
6. Are you open to international shoots, and do you have any dream locations?
Yes, I’m absolutely open to international shoots. My dream location is Europe, especially the iconic Eiffel Tower. Shooting there would be the perfect blend of elegance and beauty that aligns with my vision for modeling.
